After getting my taxes done (blech!!!), I was on my way to the roller dam to take pictures of the eagles. I saw this guy all alone in a field next to the road. I stopped the van, turned off the radio, grabbed my camera and rolled down the passenger window. Pheasants are very flighty birds and I figured he would take off like a shot. Wrong... he walked around a little bit and I got off a few shots before he strolled too far away. Both pictures have the same settings:
mode=auto ~ f/6.3 ~ 1/2500 ~ ISO-200 ~ 300mm

I love that you got two different angles on him. For some reason the second one made me smile (as if he's marching to his own band). These are fabulous shots!

We get lots of pheasants near where I live, my grandad was actually a gamekeeper, so I saw more on my dinner plate to be honest - sad but true, I would far rather see them like this, love your shots - well done on capturing this beautiful creature XXX
