Hi all - I have not posted in a while - I have been sick with bronchitis for the last three weeks, but am finally at the end of that crap. The snow is finally gone - although we did get a bit the day before yesterday and we were, once again, covered in white. The snow melted quickly and we are now down to GRASS!!!! Yipeeeeee!!!! The kids were out in the yard this morning and Frank was back to his old tricks. Here - Robin is giving him the business:
Now, don't feel sorry for him - he is a horrible little tease and likes to get Robin going:
Then he will run behind the wood piles where the big guy can't fit. Doesn't seem quite fair, does it?
All of these photos have a little effect to them from Photoshop to bring out the color and give them a little bit of an edge. I learned it from The Pioneer Woman - one of my absolute FAVORITE blogs to visit. I am there at least every day. She is an excellent photographer and writer and makes me laugh! Those aren't eagles! (or are they?)

I decided to make another trip down to the river before the weather got bad - it's supposed to rain or snow or something today (guaranteed SOMETHING is coming out of that sky!). I want to get some good pictures of the eagles before they head north. I got to THE spot and, well, these are NOT eagles, but they are cute!

Now the deer are cute, but where were the eagles? Ah hah... I found a nice mature Bald Eagle that was more than willing to cooperate. I got a ton of great pictures of this guy. Here are a few of my favorites:

Snow Weasels and other stuff...

Brian and I went back down to the river today to see if we could find more eagles before they start heading north. There were a couple eagles around and a red tailed hawk. This mature Bald Eagle did NOT approve of me, but did let me get quite a few great shots of him. This is my favorite:

And, of course, I have to make you suffer through my "artsy" attempt!

Then we went home and I thought it would be fun to make the kids run through the snow for their supper ~ Frank didn't approve ~ He was inside on a fluffy pillow, laughing at the other two!!
